Meet the New Senior Mortgage Loan Officer

We are so excited to welcome the newest member of the Embers Credit Union team, Magan Peterson! With her extensive background and deep community roots, Magan is a fantastic addition to our crew.

A Career Built on Community

Magan joins us with an impressive 20 years of experience in lending and banking. For the last four years, she has dedicated her skills to the credit union world, where she discovered a passion for helping members achieve their financial goals.

She lives in Manistique with her husband, their two wonderful kids, and their spoiled springer spaniel, Birdie. Magan is deeply committed to her hometown and volunteers her time with several local organizations. She serves as the treasurer for both CBC (Cancer, Bay Cliff and Community Charities) and the Manistique Merchants, and also organizes the annual Manistique Car Show.

A True UP Enthusiast

When she’s not working, you can find Magan and her family embracing everything the Upper Peninsula has to offer. They love to go camping, ride bikes, and spend time at the lake. A favorite family road trip is heading up to Grand Marais in the summer and fall to enjoy the sights, grab a great pizza and beer from the brewery, and—most importantly for her son—pick up rocks along the shore.

Her husband and she are avid golfers, a passion so clear they even named their dog Birdie after a golf term! When the kids are in bed, she enjoys a quiet night binge-watching shows on Netflix. And her favorite food? Fancy appetizers. Yum!
