All checks must be endorsed with the language "For Mobile Deposit Only to Embers CU account <account number>." Failure to endorse your Mobile Deposit properly may result in rejection of the item.
EXAMPLE:

Write "VOID" or "Deposited" on the front of the check. We recommend holding on to it for 14 days before destroying the check.
All or a portion of your funds may be available immediately, with holds applied on any amount exceeding your daily credit limit. Your daily credit limit will be displayed below the "Check amount limit" in Mobile Deposit.

You can make a Mobile Deposit into any checking or savings account.
There is no limit to how many checks you can deposit in one day, however, there is a daily limit on the total dollar amount that can be deposited. This limit is displayed as the "Check amount limit" in Mobile Deposit.
- Make sure the check amount entered matches the amount written on the check.
- Verify that the back of your check is properly signed (endorsed) and includes the words "For Mobile Deposit only."
- Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
- Keep the check within the on-screen corners when capturing your photo.
- Capture the photos in a well-lit area.
- Place the check on a solid dark background before taking photo.
- Keep the phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photo.
- Make sure the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your mobile deposit.
- Foreign Items
- Third Party Check Items (double endorsement items)
- Checks that contain evidence of tampering
- Incomplete checks (i.e. missing date, missing payee, improper endorsement, etc.)
- Items stamped “non-negotiable”
- Savings bonds
- Stale-dated checks (more than 6 months old)
- Post-dated checks (dated for a future day)
- Checks purporting to be a lottery or prize
- Checks previously submitted for deposit
Variations in check sizes, colors and designs can impact the readability of a check. The condition that the check is in is also a determining factor in readability.
Some checks simply will not pass the scanning process. If this happens you'll have to make your deposit the old fashioned way – by mail or visiting us at a branch.

Mobile Deposit offers you the convenience of making check deposits on your time schedule and in the comfort of your own home, office or on the go. To make a mobile deposit, choose the account you want to deposit your check into and verify the amount of the check. Then snap a picture of the front and back of the check and select submit when complete.
