Thank you for being a member of Embers Credit Union. The health and wellness of our members and staff will remain our highest priority. We are closely monitoring developments and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and local officials to respond accordingly.

While Governor Whitmer has issued a shelter in place order, that does not apply to credit unions and other financial institutions which are considered essential services. You can still conduct all of your transactions through the Drive-thru, our mobile app or online banking at embers.org. However, our lobbies will remain closed in order to keep our Embers family safe and healthy.

Stay Home and Stay Safe.

  • Drive-thrus at all branches are open Monday – Friday 8AM to 6PM. Saturday 8AM to 12PM.

  • Our Call Center is available Monday – Friday 8:30AM to 5PM, Saturday 8:30AM to 12PM.

  • Visit one of our 85,000+ Surcharge Free ATMs. To find an ATM closest to your home, click here.

  • Make sure you have a debit card with a working PIN. If you need to set or change your PIN, call 800-290-7893. If you have specific questions about ATM transactions, call the number on the back of your card.

  • Watch out for SCAMS. Unfortunately scammers are taking advantage of the situation and sending phishing emails asking for personal information. Please know that we will never send you an email asking for your personal information. When in doubt, don’t click on anything and call us directly.

  • Deposits Are Safe. Federally insured credit unions offer a safe place for credit union members to save money. All deposits at federally insured credit unions are protected by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, with deposits insured up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor. Credit union members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union. Additional information on NCUA share insurance coverage for consumers is available at Mycreditunion.gov.

If you have been impacted by COVID-19, we are here to assist you with your financial needs. Everyone’s situation is unique. Please call us so we can talk about the best options. We have a strong credit union family and we will be there for each other. We will continue to provide updates as needed.

Assistance for our members impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

The health and well-being of our members and communities is our top priority. As such, we are monitoring and following all guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), including taking the steps necessary to reduce the threat of COVID-19 exposure to employees and members.

During this time of uncertainty and change, Embers Credit Union pledges to help meet the needs of those members affected by the coronavirus.

If you or your family have been impacted by COVID-19, and need financial support, we’re here to help. We understand that the scope of impact may include areas outside of your control and our employees are ready to provide financial guidance and discuss solutions that may be available to you.

Possible assistance could include loan payment extensions. Access to low rate, short-term loans and waiving early withdrawal penalties for out of work members who need access to money locked up in Certificates of Deposit.

We will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate additional measures to support our members and our communities as the need arises.

Thank you for your continued membership.

At this time we ask that you please consider the health and safety of our employees as well as others in the community by utilizing our online services or phone services should you experience any flu-like symptoms.

Embers Credit Union will continue to closely monitor the pandemic with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health officials in our region. Please continue to visit this page for the latest updates with Embers regarding the COVID-19
